Since he first got his hands on his uncle’s IBM 286 PC as a 5-year old, Ammar has always been fascinated by computers and tech, and the world hidden behind that black C:\> screen. Since then he’s gone onto setting up multiple businesses in the tech and media sectors, and can usually be found exploring or partying somewhere in Decentraland.

Before founding BRIJ in 2021, Ammar ran multiple media and tech companies out of Dubai, San Francisco, London and Bahrain. Previously, Ammar held various finance and banking positions in multiple financial institutions, focusing on various aspects from retail to treasury to corporate management. He jumped on the crypto train in early 2012 and has been an avid Bitcoin fan from the get-go, jumping on the Ethereum vision as soon as it launched. He’s also launched multiple apps, advised strategy for a number tech startups, invested in a number of businesses in the Middle East, Europe and Africa, and is currently trying to push the boundaries of what the metaverse is and what it can do.
